Sundance Institute Founder and Director Michelle Satter Predicts the Future of Indie Filmmaking

We speak with a founder and director of the Sundance Film Institute, Michelle Satter.

There are few people who know the ever-shifting landscape of indie film as well as Michelle Satter. In fact, there maybe be no other people. Michelle helped found the Sundance Institue alongside Robert Redford in 1981. All they’ve done since then is help build the very identity of indie film, developing and bringing audiences some of the most important voices in cinema. From Tarantino to PTA, Michelle has witnessed it all.

So it was an honor for us to sit down with her and speak about the history of Sundance, but also where things stand today, and where they seem to be headed.
