On the Road Again: Announcing The 2019 Mobile Tour
We’re back on the road! In 2019, the StoryCorps MobileBooth — our recording studio housed within a converted Airstream trailer — will make its way to ten towns and cities across the United States, stopping for a month in each location to record the meaningful conversations of each community and to preserve them in the StoryCorps Archive in the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
We’re excited to be working with the public radio stations in each of our tour stops to bring StoryCorps to their communities. Reservations, which are free and available to the public, are made available here before the Mobile Tour’s arrival in each city.

For our 2019 tour, we’re presenting participants with the option to take part in One Small Step, our new initiative that facilitates conversations between individuals who disagree politically. In order to record an interview as part of One Small Step, participants must make a note of this in advance when they schedule their interview reservation.
The StoryCorps Mobile Tour has travelled the United States since 2005, capturing the voices of people across the country and bringing the StoryCorps interview experience to those who might not be able to visit one of our permanent StoryBooths in Chicago or Atlanta. At each stop along the way, we work with station partners, cultural institutions, and community-based organizations to engage with local communities and preserve their stories.
